Donations and Funding
How is SARDA funded and how you can help
All handlers and helpers are unpaid volunteers. Funds are raised mainly through public donations
All handlers and helpers are unpaid volunteers
No one receives any payment for their work with SARDA. All handlers and helpers are unpaid volunteers who give of their time freely.
Equipment is needed
Specialist equipment is needed by handlers and those acting as ‘training bodies’ for the dogs. This includes radios, specialist outdoor clothing and high visibility coats for dogs.
Funds are raised mainly through public donations
Although a small grant is received from the Irish Government (through the Department of Transport), funds to support the work of SARDA dogs are raised mainly through public donations.
If you would like to showcase SARDA Ireland at an event or make SARDA Ireland the benefactor of your fund raising efforts, please contact us (click on the contact menu option for details).
You can donate to SARDA using the PayPal button opposite.
Please make any cheques payable to SARDA Ireland (the Treasurer’s mailing address can be provided on request).
We are very grateful for any support that is given to us.
